Can I place a book on hold?

Spring 2024

Answer

Current SAC students, faculty and staff can request a book hold by first locating the book in our catalog. Once located, a hold can be done in one of the following ways:

  1. Request a library book online by logging in with your Self-Service credentials and clicking "Request", selecting "SAC Nealley Library" as the pickup location. You will receive an email notification when your request is ready to pick up at the circulation desk. Book requests will be set aside and remain on hold for one week.
  2. Contact the circulation staff either in-person or by phone at (714) 564-6700 during hours of operation.

Holds cannot be placed on course reserve textbooks, reference books, atlas books, or other non-circulating books.

For additional assistance

Please visit the Reference Desk, call (714) 564-6708, or chat with a librarian for further information.
