What should I do if I lost a book I borrowed from the library?
Answer
Reporting Lost Books
Please report it to the Circulation Desk as soon as possible.
If the book is not returned within 60 business days of the due date, an item will be considered lost. This means that there will be replacement charges on your account. This includes the price of the item plus a $5 non-refundable processing fee.
If you find and return the book before paying for a lost book, you will be charged late fees ($10 maximum) plus a processing fee instead. If you find and return the book within one year after paying replacement charges, you may be eligible for a partial refund.
Please contact the Circulation Desk at 714-564-6700 for questions and details regarding your account.
