What does a hold on my account mean?

Administrative Holds
Holds related to your library account are added to student records for outstanding fees amounting over $1.00 and for overdue items. This prevents you from registering, adding/dropping classes, obtaining grades and transcripts, and checking out additional items from the library.
The hold is not removed until all overdue library materials are returned and/or charges are paid.
