Can I study with other students inside the library?

Spring 2024

Answer

SAC students are encouraged to avoid sitting or studying together inside Santa Ana College's Nealley Library.  You can read more about our library's unique conditions motivating this suggestion on our Library Health and Safety page.

Our individual study carrels have recently reopened for your individual quiet study needs.

Group study tables are available in the Periodicals Reading Room and Mural Room. You can reserve a group study table ahead of time or as a walk-in during our in-person hours.  Students using group study rooms are encouraged to wear a mask while using enclosed group study spaces.

Public Safety Information for Visiting the Library

While appointments are no longer necessary for using most library services, we recommend the following due to the unique conditions of the library space:

  • It is strongly encouraged that you wear a mask while inside the library.
  • Social distancing of at least 6-feet is encouraged. Please be aware of the people around you.
  • Anyone experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms should not come to the library, even with an appointment. Those symptoms include one or more of the following: cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever of greater than 100 degrees, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, and/or loss of taste or smell.
  • Please review the Community User Policy page, if you are not currently enrolled as a student or employed by the Rancho Santiago Community College District and wish to access library services.
